The Ice Age Franchise

The Ice Age franchise is a series of computer-animated films produced by Blue Sky Studios. The films center around a group of prehistoric animals who must work together to survive the changing climates of the Ice Age.

The Plot

The Plot- The three films focus on the adventures of man’s best friend, a” talking” wild dog named Buck, during the last Ice Age. In the first film, set during the Paleolithic era, Buck is forced to adapt to his new surroundings after being taken from his home in California by a group of prehistoric hunters.

In the second film, set during the Mesolithic era, Buck and his friend Manny, a wooly mammoth, journey to an isolated valley in an attempt to return a lost human infant to its father. Along the way, they meet Ellie, another mammoth who joins their quest.

In the third and final film, set during the Neolithic era, Buck and Manny visit a land bridge connecting North America to Asia in order to repatriate two lost children back to their homes. During their adventure, they meet Diego, a saber-toothed tiger who becomes an unlikely ally.

The Locations

There are a total of five Ice Age movies that have been released thus far. The first movie in the franchise was released in 2002, and the most recent movie was released in 2016. The movies are set in a variety of different locations, including Antarctica, the United States, and Mexico.

The Music

The first music video for the song was released on December 10, 2009.
