Why there might be more All the Boys movies
It’s no secret that the Netflix adaptation of Jenny Han’s All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has been a runaway success. The movie, which stars Lana Condor and Noah Centineo, has been praised for its heartwarming story, its relatable characters, and its depiction of Asian-American culture.
With such a passionate fan base, it’s no surprise that many are wondering if there will be more All the Boys movies. While nothing has been officially announced yet, here are a few reasons why there might be more All the Boys movies in our future:
1. There is more source material to work with.
All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is actually the first book in Han’s trilogy of the same name. The second book, P.S. I Still Love You, was published in 2015, and the third book, Always and Forever, Lara Jean, was published in 2017. So if Netflix does decide to make more All the Boys movies, they have plenty of material to work with.
2. The cast is open to it.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lana Condor expressed her interest in making more All the Boys movies. “I would love to do more,” she said. “I think everyone involved would love to do more… I think it would be really fun to tell Lara Jean’s story for as long as people want to see it.”
3. The fans want it.
Since All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was released on Netflix earlier this month, fans have been clamoring for more movies. A petition on Change.org asking Netflix to make more All the Boys movies has already amassed over 10,000 signatures, and various social media campaigns are underway to convince Netflix that there is demand for more films.
All the Boys movies in the future
It’s official: All the Boys Love Valentine’s Day is coming to Netflix on February 12, 2021. The movie will pick up two years after the events of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and will focus on Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) as she navigates her relationships with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo), John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), and a new boy from her past, Lucas James (played by new addition Ross Butler).
Though To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was adapted from Jenny Han’s 2016 novel of the same name, Han has written two sequels to her debut book: P.S. I Still Love You, published in 2015, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean, released in 2017. It stands to reason, then, that we can expect two more movies in the franchise down the line.
While we wait for more information about future All the Boys movies, read on for everything we know so far about All the Boys Love Valentine’s Day.

All the Boys movies- the crew
All the Boys is a teen romance movie franchise created by Netflix. The movies are based on the novel series of the same name written by Jenny Han. As of now, there are two movies in the franchise- All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.
The first movie, All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, was released on August 17, 2018. The movie follows Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor), a high school student who writes love letters to all of her past crushes and then mails them out without ever intending for them to be delivered. However, one day, she comes home to find that all of her love letters have been sent out.
The second movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, was released on February 12, 2020. The movie picks up where the first one left off and follows Lara Jean as she navigates her newfound relationship with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo). The movie also introduces new love interest John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher) into the mix.
While there has been no official announcement from Netflix about any additional movies in the franchise, it seems likely that there will be at least one more considering the fact that there are three books in Jenny Han’s novel series.
